Riverside Academy will recognize the Rebels 1983 state championship football team at Friday night’s playoff game at Mickey Roussel Field. All members of the team, former coaches and Class of 1983 alumni are invited to attend.

The group will meet in the 12th Man Club area at 6 p.m. The team will be honored on the field before the game.

The Rebels won the 1983 Louisiana Independent Schools Association championship, defeating Cedar Creek under head coach Frank Monica and with the assistance of defensive coordinator Tommy Fernandez.
