Just two days after a hurricane swept through the River Parishes,  Riverside Academy celebrated its annual Fall Fest for elementary school students on Friday, Oct. 30. Cooler temperatures arrived just in time for the event, which featured Halloween costumes, games, music, a picnic lunch and pumpkin painting and carving contests.

Riverside was closed on Oct. 28 and 29 as Hurricane Zeta moved ashore, bringing strong winds and heavy rains into southeast Louisiana. The area was spared major damage, but thousands were left without electricity.
