Riverside Academy’s RA Ovations will present its 2024 spring musical, “Zombie Prom” in early May.

The show is about a high school senior turned zombie named Jonny , to be played by Taye Drake, who wins the heart of a girl named Toffee, played by Peyton Williams. Drake is coming off his successful run last year as Joseph in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” He also had roles in the 2022 production of “The Wizard of Oz.” Williams was in the ensemble of both shows.

“I am really excited but also filled with a little trepidation to work on something completely new to us and something that is so very different than our ‘normal’ theatre repertoire,” said RA Ovations director Darryl Clement. “I think it will be extremely fun.”
