Riverside Academy will have a new baseball coach for the 2025 season to replace veteran coach Marty Luquet.
Luquet spent four years as head coach of the Rebels, winning two district championships and making two trips to the quarterfinals. Riverside was the fifth stop on his 27-year career. He recorded his 500th career victory on April 11 with a 16-0 win over West St. John.
He spent one year as Athletic Director and served six months as interim principal during the Covid pandemic. Luquet has been asked to remain as a teacher at Riverside in his current role as 504 Coordinator.
Luquet’s successor will be named at a later date.
