Let me introduce myself. My name is Jessie Weiler and I’m the new editor for The Rebel Express. I am a third year journalism student and I’ve been contributing to the Rebel Express since the Fall of 2022 during my junior year.

During my sophomore year, I took journalism for the first time with Mrs. Lori Lyons. Before taking the class, I never thought that I would be good at interviewing people and writing a story, but to my surprise I fell in love with it. Throughout the time I’ve been writing for the Rebel Express, it has taught me the importance of knowing what’s going on around me and how important it is to tell all sides of a story.

As the editor, my goal is to provide the community with all the information they need about upcoming events within the RA family. Writing about people’s opinions and accomplishments is of upmost importance to me. I have high hopes that this year will be great for the Rebel Express.

I strongly encourage students to join the Journalism Club if you are interested in being apart of our Rebel Express family. Thank you to everyone reading this and thank you to Mrs. Lyons for this amazing opportunity . I look forward to another awesome year.
