More swimmers qualify for State at weekend meet

Riverside Academy had five swimmers qualify for the State Meet on Saturday

The Riverside Academy Swim Team competed in the St. James Parish High School Meet #2 on Saturday, Sept. 16 along with Ascension Christian, Ben Franklin,
Denham Springs, Destrehan, E.D. White, East Ascension, Lutcher, St. James, The Willow School and Walker.

The Rebels had five swimmers qualify for the State Meet with their times. this weekend. Senior Corrine Cashio , qualified for the 100 yard backstroke. Freshman Sofia Galvez qualified for the 50 yard freestyle. Freshman Cami LaRose qualified for the 50 yard and the 100yard freestyle. Hannah St. Martin, 8th grader qualified for the 100 yard breaststroke. Freshman Brody Vicknair qualified for the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard backstroke. Several other swimmers swam their personal best in their individual events.

The team will compete again Wednesday, Sept. 20th at E.D. White in Thibodaux.
