It was a good week for the Riverside Academy Lady Rebels volleyball team.

The Lady Rebels defeated St. Charles Catholic (3-2) on Tuesday night and defeated St. Thomas Aquinas (3-1) on Wednesday night. The team now has won five matches in a row, including two tournament wins.

In Tuesday’s game against SCC junior Chloe St. Pierre led the team with 16 kills, 28 digs and five aces. Junior Lanie Hymel had 38 digs.

Senior Corrin Cashio and Hymel both had five aces against St. Thomas Aquinas. St. Pierre led the team again with 16 kills and 19 digs. Bayli Melancon and Layla Price each had seven kills.

The team will travel to McGehee on Oct. 2 and will be home on Thursday against Lutcher.
