Several Riverside Academy teachers received their first doses of the Covid-19 vaccine Wednesday from staffers at The Urgent Care Clinic of LaPlace.

Teachers became eligible to receive the vaccines on February 22 under orders from Gov. John Bel Edwards. The administration arranged for the shots to be administered on campus to those teachers and staff members who wanted it. Nurses from The Urgent Care will return in a few weeks to administer the second doses.
