The Carnival Ball Queen, Layken Epperly, and Princess Alysa Epperly are not only cousins, they are best friends.  They have been by each other’s sides since they were babies. They have done everything together. Layken and Alysa played volleyball together for three years. They both love to go to Mississippi and ride horses. Ever since eighth grade they have had every single class together and they are now juniors.

Sometimes people think they share a brain. They both are there for each other. I have never seen a love like their love for each other. Right before  Queen Layken enters the ball, Princess Alysa will enter. Just like everything else in life, they are doing Carnival Call together. Their bond cannot be broken.

I am thankful that I am a cousin to Alysa and a sister to Layken.
