Riverside Academy invited the school community to enjoy a jolly good time at the annual Arts Fest held on Thursday, March 24. This year’s event showcased the food and culture of Great Britain with special dishes, student art and musical performances.

Queen Elizabeth I (Gabriel Treas) kicked off the festivities with a royal proclamation, which was followed by a parade of decorated golf carts and The Marching Pride of Riverside. The band performed songs from Queen, The Beatles, Adele and The Weekend. The kindergarten class sang “I Won’t Grow Up,” the first grade class sang “London Bridge is Falling Down” and “Yellow Submarine,” the second grade sang “Wouldn’t It be Loverly,” the third grade sang “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” the fourth grade sang “Here Comes the Sun” and “Crocodile Rock.” There also was a coloring contest for elementary students.

The Beatles tribute band “The Walrus” closed out the festivities.
