Quarterback Luke Hymel secured the win for the Riverside Academy Rebels Friday night by recovering a desperation onsides kick by Central Catholic with 43 seconds left in the game. The recovery at midfield allowed the Rebels to run out the clock and leave Morgan City with a 41-38 win.

Elijah “Bill” Davis once again led the offense with 308 yards and five touchdowns on 37 carries behind a solid offensive line. Senior transfer Scott White also had his very first touchdown on a 43 yard touchdown reception. Luke Hymel was 4 of 6, with one touchdown pass and another scoring run.  Hymel also was credited with the game-saving onside kick recovery.

The Rebels return home to take on The Houma Christian Warriors this Friday to celebrate Homecoming/Alumni Night at Mickey Roussel Field.
